Ground extensometers
EX-CMG Ground displacement sensor
Measures ground movement relative to a stable point. An Invar wire connects the sensor and anchor; changes in distance are recorded by the monitoring system.

Application
Application and connection
Measures the distance between a sensor and an anchor linked by a tensioned wire. The sensor is installed on stable ground and the anchor on the moving slope. As the landslide mass moves relative to the stable area or a rupture crack opens, the sensor records the displacement.
