EXGG Ground extensometer

Measures ground movement at several depths. A surface head unit is connected to anchors installed in the monitored borehole zones.

EXGG Ground extensometer
Application

Application and connection

Monitors vertical movement of soil layers relative to bedrock caused by settlement or frost heave. It also measures relative and absolute foundation settlement when the anchor is fixed in bedrock and the head unit on the pile cap or foundation slab.

Measures vertical movement of anchors in the monitored soil layers relative to the surface head unit. Fiberglass rods with low thermal expansion connect the anchors to displacement sensors.
