Structure and foundation monitoring
Measurement of settlement, displacement, crack opening, and soil parameters.

What we monitor
- Foundation settlement and displacement
- Load-bearing element deformation
- Crack opening and groundwater level
From on-site measurements to information for staff
Parameters and instrument selection depend on the structure, operating conditions, and existing systems.
On-site monitoring
We select measurement points and instruments for the changes being monitored.
Collection and transmission
We connect measurements to the shared system using the available communication and infrastructure.
Monitoring and events
We set up archives, change visualization, and alerts for responsible staff.
Purpose
The system brings together measurements of structures and ground foundations during construction, reconstruction and operation. It helps compare building settlement, movement and deformation with changes in the ground so that inspections can be scheduled in time.
Monitored parameters
- Foundation settlement and differential settlement
- Tilt and movement of load-bearing structures
- Deformation and crack opening
- Horizontal movement of the ground and excavation support
- Stress in piles and excavation bracing
- Groundwater level and pressure
Monitored assets
- Load-bearing elements of buildings and structures
- Foundations and supporting ground
- Excavations and retaining structures
- Buildings affected by nearby construction
Possible system components
The following families and instruments are examples. The final selection is defined by the project.
Settlement sensorsHSSG Hydrostatic level sensorMeasures vertical displacement and structural settlement from changes in liquid levels in connected vessels. Suitable for foundations, hydraulic structures, and geotechnical monitoring.
Earth pressure sensorsEPSG Earth pressure sensorMeasures total pressure within soil and at the foundation interface. Helps monitor how structural loads are distributed through the ground.
Settlement sensorsLNGG Displacement sensorMonitors movement along two or three coordinates. The measurement system includes a laser emitter, target, and electronic unit.
Displacement sensorsJMG-01-25 Joint displacement sensorMonitors opening at joints in concrete structures. Installed in formwork before concreting to measure linear displacement.
Triaxial joint metersCMMG-D02-50 (±25 mm) Automatic joint meterAutomatically measures joint or crack opening along three axes. Monitors relative movement between parts of a structure.
Displacement sensorsCMG-D21 Displacement sensorMeasures linear displacement and crack opening. An RS-485 digital output connects instruments into a shared measurement line.Let’s discuss your task
