RSS-R Rebar stress sensor
Monitors strain in reinforced-concrete reinforcement. Incorporated into the rebar cage by welding or couplings.

Application and connection
Made from the same material and diameter as the reinforcement, so installation as part of the cage does not reduce the rebar strength. The sensor experiences the same stresses as the reinforcement, reducing measurement error.
It can also be tied or welded to the cage. In this arrangement a smaller-diameter sensor minimizes its influence on the cage stress and strain state. Available with a 350 Ω analog strain gauge bridge or a digital output.
